Established in 1988 as part of the original growth plan of Thompson Machinery, a company founded in 1971 and boasting a successful and reputable reputation in used machine tools.

Today Thompson Machinery is known as Thompson Machine Tools, and is the parent company of the Thompson Machine Tool Group with a combined machine tool experience of over 40 years.

Presently the dominant force within the group, Craft an importer of new engineering machine tools positions itself both within the “Metal Forming and Cutting” and “Metal Removal” market segments. In keeping with its parent Company’s heritage Craft procures a diverse range of products catering for those looking to purchase sophisticated high tech production units to those needing a more entry level solution.

At the higher end of the market Craft is a proud ambassador for Haco, Vanad machine tools and Feeler. Haco is a Belgium manufacturer of quality CNC sheet metal machinery including Press Brakes, Guillotines, Rolls and Iron Workers. Haco has been an industry specialist for over 47 years and have used this experience to ensure the best price-to-quality ratio found anywhere.

Vanad manufactures out of the Czech Republic and specialize in the latest modern production technologies in CNC Plasma, Oxy-flame and Fiber Laser cutting supported by Hypertherm power sources. When purchasing a Vanad product you ae in essence purchasing higher consistency, greater dynamics and maximum accuracy.

Feeler is the leading Taiwanese manufacturer of CNC machine tools, including Turning Centres, Vertical Machining Centres and Double Column Machining Centres. Through their State-of-the-Art manufacturing capabilities Feeler have earned a world class reputation for product excellence and reliability.

On the entry level end of the market Craft imports an array of “Craft Branded” conventional machine tools from Taiwan and China including centre lathes, band saws, turret mills, radial arm drills, surface grinders, press brakes and guillotines. For those clients wanting to make that initial step into the CNC arena Craft offers a reliable entry level CNC turning centre and machining centre.
